SALTWATER DREAMTIME

Zachary Bennett-Brook is an award-winning Torres Strait Islander artist whose eye-catching work has been featured in exhibitions all around the world. He grew up in Wollongong (Dharawal Country) surrounded by water, which has played a key role in his life and subsequent artworks.

His art draws inspiration from his cultural heritage, and the ocean is often showcased in his designs. Each artwork is unique and beautiful, and has been represented on skateboards, surfboards, shoes, caps and of course, framed artworks. It’s this creative blend of Indigenous and modern surf culture that makes this young artist such an icon in the modern art world.

At The Sebel Chatswood, we are lucky enough to feature individual artworks from Zachary Bennett-Brook in each of our spacious apartments, as well as the lobby. Each piece is unique, a distinctive representation of Indigenous Culture in the heart of Chatswood; one of the most diverse suburbs in Sydney.

Book your stay with us and enjoy the chance to see this spectacular artwork, a must for any lover of the ocean, art and culture.
